sec_media_day_1-004

After three whole weeks of SEC football have come and gone, I feel like now is the perfect time to see how our men in blue are faring on the SEC stat sheet. Below are the stats that UK is currently in the top seven for in the conference, and some just might surprise you a little bit:

(Note: Stats were taken from SaturdayDownSouth.com)

Total Offense: 4/14 SEC Teams

Total offense

Passing Offense: 3/14 SEC Teams

Passing Offense

Passing Defense: 4/14 SEC Teams

Passing Defense

Scoring Defense: 7/14 SEC Teams

Scoring Defense

Team Sacks: 3/14 SEC Teams

Team Sacks

The Rest of the Stats (out of 14 teams):

Scoring Offense: 12th

Rushing Offense: 9th

Rushing Defense: 12th

Total Defense: 8th

Team Penalties: 14th

(25 penalties, 220 yards. Not a pretty stat at all my friends).

Good start. We shall see where we really are as a program the next three games.

Imagine how much higher our passing offense would be rated if our completion percentage were above 60%!!!!!

Stats kind of depend on who you have played. South Carolina has played a tough schedule already. So have a lot of teams.

4th in total offense, yet 12th in scoring offense? What gives?
