HALF: Alabama 28, Kentucky 3

Well, it was fun for a little while. After hanging tough in the first quarter, Kentucky spent the second shooting itself in the foot, paving the way for Alabama to take a 28-3 lead into halftime.

After the Crimson Tide struck first, the Cats were in good position to tie it up, but a holding penalty by Landon Young on 2nd and 5 in the red zone forced Kentucky to settle for a field goal. The defense got a huge stop on Alabama’s next drive and after Kentucky couldn’t punch it in on its next possession, a bad snap on Matt Ruffolo’s field goal attempt led to a fumble. From there, the wheels started to fall off. Ruffolo missed a 42-yard field goal and Alabama could not be stopped, Mac Jones accumulating over 200 yards. And we’ve still got a half to play.

Here’s the box score, if you dare.

When is Stoops going to realize he needs a full-time special teams coordinator?

Make gran the special teams coordination / running backs coach, and hire a new OC

We got them right where we want them, Come out with a super secret, master plan for the 2nd half and hope to keep the final margin of defeat under 50. I mean eventually they have to get tired of running, passing, and scoring. Right ? Then, unleash a fury of runs and screen passes on them, they will not know what hit them. Go get em coach Stoops, show them we are no push over and will not quit, we SEC NOW.

Terry Wilson was not the problem. The DB’s were. Substitution only hurt the confidence. How about we play the defense we know how to play and give the offense a chance?

The program should really move on from ol Eddie Gran! I’ve been saying this and will continue saying this. He’s not a good OC and absolutely no imagination with coming up with new plays. Their is no game plan on offense excerpts screens, slants, and run option.

I get busting on Gran but how about Brad White’s D? Which has been worse the past month?

Apart from Vandy, 12 quarters of football, 1 TD, 3 FG. You tell me we don’t have an OC issue.
