College football’s bowl season is a chance to see so many non-conference matchups that you’d never see during the regular season. Unfortunately for UK fans, we haven’t been able to see the Cats be a part of something like this in quite some time.
For me, bowl season usually was just a time to root for all of the other SEC teams in their big bowl games and national championships. I couldn’t get pumped up for bowl season because Kentucky wasn’t a part of it.
But not this year. This year, I couldn’t be more excited for bowl season. Not only will we get to watch the Cats take on Georgia Tech in an awesome bowl game, but the SEC has 11 other teams going bowling as well.
I’ve heard a lot from fans of other schools than Kentucky only had 7 wins because the SEC was so weak this year in comparison to years in the past. However, nothing would vindicate UK’s season more than a win in a bowl game, to go along with the SEC breaking the record it set last year of 9 bowl wins for one conference. The SEC has a shot to do it, so get pumped y’all.
