Senior day 2016 was something to celebrate. Mark Stoops’ first class at Kentucky committed to a previously 2-10 team that had a lot to prove and a new head coach, so it was only fitting that these men became bowl eligible for the first time on their senior day.

KyWildcatsTV put together a perfect video to the tune of Eric Church’s Outsiders, the quintessential song for these men.

It was a roller coaster of 4 years for these guys, but they made the most of it and will be missed.

    The senior I think I will miss the most, is J.D. Harmon. I grew up in Union Co. KY, and Paducah Tilghman was alway our toughest game. I say toughest, because they always killed us, but I still loved testing myself against a much better team. I remember trying to tackle Billy Jack Haskins once in the open field, it didn’t go very well, and I think he scored on 60yd touchdown run. This past, is probably the reason why I seemed to always be watching J.D. when he was on the field and personally I don’t think I’ve seen a defensive player make more big plays in his time at UK. He bounced in and out of the starting lineup, but every time he got an opportunity, he was ready and made plays. I know there’s several wins, that we wouldn’t have, if it hadn’t been for big plays he made. Thank you and good luck to all the Seniors! GO CATS!!!
