Georgia’s Starting Quarterback is… (UPDATED)

It doesn’t matter who is starting because they’ll both play. The SEC Network’s sideline reporter, Kayce Smith, spoke with Georgia coaches this morning who said that Brice Ramsey and Greyson Lambert will split reps, leaving in whoever has the “hot hand.”
It’s a great strategy, especially when the likelihood of having a hot hand exponentially decreases during a monsoon. Hopefully Stoops and Eliot have plenty of pressure packages drawn up today to keep the unsteady Georgia offense off-balanced.
As the old saying goes, “If you have two quarterbacks, you have no quarterbacks.”
UPDATE
According to Kayce Smith, Greyson Lambert will start the game but others are expected to see reps as well.

At this point in the season, I wish Stoops would embrace the same philosophy with Towles and Barker. It would be helpful for Barker to get some reps and game experience going forward to help with next season. Hopefully Barker is healed up and ready to go, and Stoops will see the wisdom of playing him a little, especially in the event that the game is out of reach.
And yes, I do realize that Barker will be facing the same issues with an OL that can’t block and wide receivers that can’t catch. However, if it is shown that we have a truly viable backup, maybe that would inspire Towles to use his feet a little more and truly become more of a dual threat QB. He is big and rugged and can actually get some pretty decent yardage on scrambles when he doesn’t go into a premature slide to preserve himself. Just play balls-out and go for it, Patrick.
