Fox Sports predicts TaxSlayer Bowl for the Wildcats

Stewart Mandel over at FoxSports.com has a new set of bowl projections and he predicts Big Blue Nation will be making a trip to Florida for a New Year’s Eve morning game in Jacksonville. That, of course, would be the TaxSlayer Bowl, scheduled for an 11 am kick on December 31. The opponent? Georgia Tech.
Joining Mandel in the Kentucky-to-TaxSlayer camp is one Larry Vaught, who tweeted he is hearing the same.
Vaught wrote, “Nothing official but source I trust tells me it looks like UK has been slotted to play in Jacksonville on Dec. 31”:
NOthing official but source I trust tells me it looks like UK has been slotted to play in Jacksonville on dec. 31. Kudos to @UKMitchBarnhart

But like Vaught said, nothing official. Not yet at least.
Who up, Jacksonville?

3 weeks to prepare for GT; do they still run the triple option?
Drew: Since you are not allowed to post a comment on the transgender article..i will do so here. I totallly support any persons right to identify as they feel. If a man decides to surgically remove items that make him a man…so be it. But please lets not make these folks heroes. this is not rosa parks and there is no particular reason to Celebrate their decisions on a sports website…… A little less PC would be greatly appreciated.
Why do you all care so much? You, thinking about another male’s genitalia, makes you kinda gay, really.
Let people do what they want. Who really cares? I have only two caveats: First, don’t allow taxpayer money to pay for such surgeries, because they are basic just cosmetic in purpose, thus they are unnecessary and frivolous. Second, don’t force me to call a “he” a “she, because that is forcing me to become a liar and would constitute a violation of my conscience of the highest order, like in “1984” when Winston had to say that two plus two was not really four.
But avoid those two areas, and like I said, who cares? Live and let live.
Was that supposed to be a ballsy post?
Sentient, tax money NEVER goes to someone’s gender reassignment surgery, so that is a moot point. And unless you go around asking everyone what gender they were born as, then you likely won’t know if someone has has gender reassignment surgery and will probably just address said person by however they introduce themselves.
Biggest pool of six bowl, if UK goes, thats YUGE
Agree with dgtuk. But not sure removing your male body parts instantly transforms you from a “he” to a “she”. Why would we point a positive spotlight on anyone who (freely) chooses to violently alter a healthy body? Isn’t it morally questionable to place how you feel (emotions) above the reality of how your body actually is?
Just thinking.
Do you feel the same if someone gets a boob job? Or a nose job? How about tattoos? Or piercings? Are those things morally questionable? They alter someone’s body.
This would be a very cool bowl game. Practicing against the Stephen Johnson read-option isn’t too far from the triple option of Tech, so I think our defense will be up to the challenge. And a bowl game in Florida can only strengthen the Stoops Florida pipeline for recruiting.
