Four SEC East teams “desperately” want to keep ACC rival on schedule

The Governor’s Cup may get played after all, even if the ACC and SEC go to conference-only football schedules this fall.

Brett McMurphy is reporting that four SEC East programs “desperately” want to play their ACC state rivals. One of course is Kentucky as the Cats would love the opportunity to kick the Cards’ teeth in again; the others are Florida/Florida State, South Carolina/Clemson and Georgia/Georgia Tech.

The issue with that plan is finding an opponent for the 10 other SEC teams that would need another game:

It’s good to know they’re not going to throw it away.

what happened to mrs TT post on WOJO, you know the one full of left wing snarkiness, the one she apologizes(sorta) for?? I left a long message about this site becoming more and more a site to cheer on the democrats and to take shots at the conservatives. I don’t come here for that BS, and were the shoe on the other foot, the democrats wouldn’t be too happy either. When I started following this site back in either 06 or 07 there was NO political BS, they are alienating half their base, WHY??

You “don’t come here for that BS”…yet here you are, starting political drama on an article that has nothing to do with politics? That’s a head-scratcher.

Nobody is ever forced to read KSR or the articles that are clearly political, and then take the time to leave comments. I never understand those who complain about that

yet here you are complaining about my complaint, LOL

I clicked and read an article clearly about sports, then went to the comments hoping to see something about sports. Instead, I find other junk.

Similarly, people come to this site looking for sports and find other junk. The fact that they then share their opinion on the non-sports junk is then criticized because the comment doesn’t fall in line with the liberal, social justice, PC nonsense. Liberals blame everyone else for being intolerant, yet they themselves are the most intolerant group of people to ever walk the face of the earth. If you don’t bow at the alter of their religion called liberalism, you don’t deserve to be seen or heard.

It’s pathetic that the cowards that run this site pulled down Tyler’s post about ‘Wojo’ telling a Senator to “F*ck Off” and then pulled it down because she was getting hammered. Typical lefties. If it doesn’t fit their agenda or goes against them, just silence the resistance. Bunch of hypocrites.

It’s soooooo easy to ‘apologize’ when you don’t mean it. Happens all the time in today’s PC world. Say something from the heart, get hammered, then apologize. Your foot gets stuck in the mouth from the heart and then you apologize. If you think Wojo’s apology was legit you’ve lost your mind. I call BS on that.

Getting back to the subject at hand… the SEC East teams may ‘desperately” want to play teams out of the ACC but they way things are going, the way the dominoes are falling, the way the folks in the know, the folks who run college sports are now talking, those schools will be damn lucky to play ANY games this fall.

      Nailed it, Lipman. 100% correct.

9 games would be so much better. An all conference schedule would not be good.

Ok, if we don’t play Looserville, do they come here next year or do we play there.
