Football Season Ticket Sales have Already Almost Surpassed the 2016 Total

There are 66 days until Kentucky takes the Kroger Field turf against Eastern Kentucky.  By September 9, 2017 there will be more Kroger Field season ticket holders than there were a year ago at Commonwealth Stadium.

Last year the University of Kentucky sold 33,658 season tickets.  Jen Smith reports that as of last week UK had sold 32,000 season tickets for the upcoming football season.  Getting an extra 2,000 should take no time.  It might be a stretch, but there’s a chance they could catch the 2015 high of over 38,658.

There are a lot of things you can point to as the catalyst, but nothing is more significant than Stoops’ season-ending win over Louisville.  In case you forgot, Lamar Jackson did the Heisman pose, then fumbled, then Kentucky won.
