Kentucky really needs Ryan Flannigan back on the football field. The linebacking corps missed him on Saturday and the defense will suffer once again in South Carolina if he’s unable to play.

Today, Mark Stoops announced his veteran LB is still day-to-day heading into this week’s prep for the Gamecocks.

“When he’s ready, I will tell you,” Stoops told reporters.

Flannigan’s health will be one of the stories to watch this week, as it has been since the injury occurred. Hopefully we here some good news in the next day or two.

More from Stoops’ press conference on the way…

Where is the MARK STOOPS MONDAY PRESS CONFERENCE you advertised?

Your site is becoming less and less reliable.

The press conference didn’t end till 1:00 p.m. The article said “More from Stoops’ press conference on the way…”. Give him a chance to write the freakin article AND be thankful you are even getting information, after all it is a holiday. So try to enjoy the holiday, and while you are at it, try to be less critical & more patient, makes for a better world….and your blood pressure better as well!

PS…. No I am not associated with KSR…just thought I state that before someone makes the remark

If only this was the way it all worked… We should get bonus points for winning the uniform battle too!

Someone said Flannigan was hurt tackling Jacob Hyde during scrimmage – if this is true might be the dummest injury ever.

Flannigan will definitely help but he isn’t our defenses savior. Our line needs help badly. Elam came up with 6 tackles and zero penetration

I hope we can say that about the cats this time next week, but let’s not count our chickens before they hatch. It’s fine to be happy about 1-0, but try not to rub anyone’s face in’s WAY too early, OK “Ha!”? And Drew, ease up on the Flannigan news…until it is actually news…know what I mean? Thanks.

Get Flannigan and Hatcher back out there and see how much this defense improves.
