ESPN’s new bowl projections have Kentucky going to a familiar place

Kentucky’s bowl chances look infinitely better after the Florida win, and the latest projections from ESPN have the Cats going to a familiar spot.

Both Kyle Bonagura and Mitch Sherman predict Kentucky will be back in the Music City Bowl on December 28, where they’ll face either the Miami Hurricanes or the Georgia Tech Triple Option Yellow Jackets. I live in Nashville and I don’t even really want that. After last year’s disaster, no thanks.

Over at CBS Sports, Jerry Palm has the Cats playing Notre Dame in the Belk Bowl on December 29, setting up a potential conflict with the basketball team’s game vs. Louisville. Tip time for that game hasn’t been set, but if possible, that’s a scenario I’m sure Kentucky would like to avoid.

Besides, Kentucky will be in a way better bowl than that after going to the SEC Championship, right? #LetMeDream

Fla was an unexpected win. Tbh, with the way they played this could be a 9 or 10 win team. If that happens we wont be in any of those bowls.

If this team takes one game at a time and handles business, it will be a special year.

I’m fine with however that shakes out. We will just have to multitask that day if it comes to that.

No need to project ANYTHING right now…this team has the world in front of them, take advantage and go big time bowling, stub your toe and head to Nashville or Charlotte. “I LIKE MY TEAM!”

Would like to play Notre Dame. Hell with Ga Tech…ought to refuse to play those dirty bastards.

Ga Tech is the absolute worst kind of team to play in a lower tier bowl game. Dumb injuries just waiting to happen in a game that really doesn’t mean anything in the big picture, other than additional practice time..

Glad Florida losing streak over!! Next step is to see how we stack up against Miss St. Win that game and we could really have a special year.
