ESPN: Kentucky is not a College Football Blue Blood

UK Athletics
We may bleed blue, but the Kentucky football program is not what you would consider a college football blue blood. When ESPN ranked their college football royalty, it’s no shock that UK fell far down the list.
Twelve ESPN writers put their heads together to create a list ranking all 128 FBS schools based on the historical impact the program has made on the sport. After ranking each school on a scale of 1-10, it was hard to find Kentucky.
The Cats ranked No. 62 with an average of 3.33. Other schools in similar standing: Northwestern, SMU, Maryland, Duke and the Air Force Academy. Louisville was tied for 41st with an average of 4.92.
If this shocks you, you haven’t been a Kentucky football fan for long.

It’s been since the early 80’s – when “Hard Schnellenberger” + Cherry & Jones cut a deal with the devil -that uavel’s pigskin progression began. What an absolute dirty whore of a program and commuter college.
