ESPN analyst Cole Cubelic ranks Drake Jackson as SEC’s top center

The man in the middle of the Big Blue Wall continues to receive love from the national media.

After Pro Football Focus tabbed Kentucky’s Drake Jackson as the country’s most valuable returning center, ESPN’s Cole Cubelic shared a similar sentiment, ranking Jackson as his top-overall center in the Southeastern Conference. Athlon Sports also recently named Jackson to its Preseason All-SEC First-Team list.

Cubelic, who also works as an analyst for the SEC Network, didn’t stop there with the love for Kentucky’s offensive line, either. A few days ago, he also slotted the entire Wildcat offensive line as the third-best unit in the SEC, coming in behind Alabama and Tennessee.

Jackson has been a long-term impact player for Mark Stoops and company, starting 33 games since 2017 with only two absences. He was named a 2019 First-Team All-SEC performer a season ago and will be a likely candidate to repeat in 2020.

The third best O line in the SEC I though KSR said it was the best in the country?

In high school Jackson was the no. 1 center in the country despite not playing the position. For all the things recruiting services get wrong, they got that one right.

There is no way that Tennessee’s line is better than UK’s.
