Eli Brown will transfer to Western Kentucky

Former Kentucky linebacker Eli Brown will finish his college career close to home.

The Warren East product announced on Twitter he will transfer to Western Kentucky.  Brown will have two years of eligibility remaining after he sits out this fall. The Hilltoppers’ head coach seems pretty excited.

A former four-star Army All-American, the Bowling Green-native had 62 tackles and 2.5 for loss for the Cats as a reserve weak-inside linebacker.

He will be a STAR there on a really good team. He did great filling in last year and I don’t know what the coaches saw in other players vs him but let’s hope it turns out great for UK and for Western. He seems to be a nice young man as well so GOOD LUCK ELI!!

Hope he works out and practices harder for the coaches there than he did here.
