Duffy, Kinnard named Preseason All-Americans by Phil Steele

There are nine Kentucky Wildcats named to the All-SEC teams in Phil Steele’s 2020 College Football Preview. Nine! Drake Jackson was named First Team Center; Darian Kinnard, First Team Offensive Tackle; Max Duffy, First Team Punter; Landon Young, Second Team Offensive Tackle; Quinton Bohanna, Second Team Defensive Lineman; Boogie Watson, Second Team Linebacker; Josh Ali, Fourth Team Wide Receiver; Josh Paschal, Fourth Team Defensive Line; and Kelvin Joseph, Fourth Team Defensive Back.

But wait, there’s more!

Flip to the All-America section of Phil Steele’s 2020 College Football Preview and you’ll find two Cats named All-Americans.

Phil Steele named Max Duffy the First Team All-America punter, putting the UK senior above all other punters in college football. Duffy of course led the nation in yards pert punt last season and earned the 2019 Ray Guy Award, given to the nation’s top punter. Duffy should be everyone’s All-American punter this preseason.

Then there is Darian Kinnard, UK’s junior right tackle, earning Fourth Team All-America honors from Phil Steele. Kinnard started all 13 games on the Big Blue Wall last year and returns as one of its star veterans alongside Drake Jackson and Landon Young.

More preseason love for UK Football. Go Cats.
