Drew Barker And Other Kentucky Recruits Puttin’ In Work

Today, 2014 Kentucky QB commit and fellow KSR Blogger Drew Barker kicked off his senior season at Conner HS against Boone County HS, and to put it lightly, he dominated. The game was called at halftime due to the heat index which had reached over 100 degrees, but Barker and Conner HS still managed to walk away with a dominant 40-7 victory, according to Next Cats’ Ben Roberts, who was at the game.

On his first 2 plays of the game, Barker had 2 TD runs of 80 and 75 yards and kept it going throughout, finishing with an astounding 8-11 passing for 235 yards and 4 TD passes and another 163 yards and 2 TD’s on the ground on only 4 carries. IN ONE HALF. Now maybe the competition wasn’t astounding but nonetheless those are video game numbers for the future Kentucky QB and a solid victory for Barker and his Conner teammates.

OTHER GAMES OF NOTE:

  • RB Stanley “Boom” Williams had 235 yards on 22 carries and 2 TD’s in a 36-10 win
  • WR Garrett Johnson had 9 receptions for 184 yards and 2 TD’s in a 52-14 win

I couldn’t find much more than these 3 but if you have any other stats from any of UK’s recruits, feel free to post them in the comments section for everyone to share.

Thaddeus Snodgrass’s team got thumped 42-8 by Trotwood. Worst of all for Springfield they lost their Quarterback early in the game with a fairly serious shoulder injury. Could miss the couple of weeks at the least. Will certainly effect Snodgrass’s stats.

Looking forward to watching Drew when he plays South Oldham in a few weeks. Nothing like catching the future in a game 10 miles away from home.

DeSales beat John Hardin 25-20….Matt Elam got double teamed all night and made little impact, but DeSales ran opposite him most of the time.
