Matt needs to drop some weight and get in shape before he’ll ever be productive in college. I’ve talked to a couple people who’ve seen him play and they said he is too winded to get down in a stance before the plays. He just stands there. Teams are just going to go hurry up and run the ball down the middle because we won’t have someone in there that can move. He needs to redshirt a year wherever he goes.
Matt join Drew and other recruits to help turn Big Blue football around. Go to Alabama and just be another number and come to Kentucky(Your home state) and be a hero?????

there is a difference in big and fat. Elam is just fat and #6 is right he will not do much vs SEC athletes, in his current condition.

Defense is about speed, strength, athleticism and desire. Something Matt needs a lot of work on, minus the desire. I hope he says “Roll Tide” or “Morehead State.” He may be a prospect from the Bluegrass but he’s not one for us to get hard about and base our next four years potential on. Honestly a hit or miss as far as how is career will turn out, I’m betting on a miss. He’ll be a bigger bust than what Pitino put on Sypher’s leg.
If thats true, he has everyone but you fooled. Guess you know more than Saban and numerous other football coaches. Just a thought, Saban did not travel all the way to Etown just to recruit players for his scout team. Come on man.

Looks like the idiot trolls and “expert” coaches are out in force today. Nick Saban made an in home visit to see Matt. Notre Dame wanted him. I’m not an expert, so you know what? I think I’ll go with the opinion of the guys who get paid to evaluate players and say Mr. Elam would be a nice addition to the team. Just sayin’.

Here is something that is sobering. Right now we are ranked 12th in rivals recruiting rankings. This is absolutely insane for UK to be ranked this high. But before you get too excited, that is 7th best in the SEC & Ole Miss, Florida & Vandy are right on our heels. So a few flips here or there this class could drop to perhaps 9th or 10th in the SEC. But of course it could move up as well. That means this staff needs to continue to recruit top 20 classes and they need to out coach our opponents.
Elam and Barker are obviously clowning around and showing off their new gear. Gotta love that they are absolute studs and have a good sense of humor.
Some of the comments here help keep KSR #1 in idiot posters. Matt is 6’5 and 370, Coaches want him to play in the 345-350 range in college. He runs a 4.9 forty, even at 370lbs, which is unbelieveable for a defensive tackle

Elam is clearly clownin’ and I love seeing a marquis HS player that doesn’t mind having a laugh at his own expense. He actually looks like the “fat guy in a little coat” character.
I think Saban is more focused on whether he’ll get a commitment from Leonard Fournette. If he lands him, the rest of the country might as well just give up.
