The Big Blue Wall is still sturdy going into the 2020 college football season and today two of its key pillars were named as players to watch.
Drake Jackson and Darian Kinnard were each named to the 2020 Outland Trophy Watch List for the upcoming season. The Outland trophy is given to the top interior lineman in the country at the conclusion of each season, and the two Wildcats were listed among the best interior offensive linemen in early consideration for the award.
Jackson, a senior, hails from lovely Versailles, Kentucky, and has started 33 straight games at center for UK. He’s on track to be in the conversation for best ever at Kentucky, if he’s not already there.
Kinnard is only a junior but has veteran experience after starting in every game last season. Phil Steele recently named him a preseason All-American, so it’s no surprise he is in the running for top interior offensive lineman.
