Derrick Baity cleared to play Saturday

Mark Stoops opened up Thursday evening’s post-practice comments with some positive news regarding one of his injured players.

Derrick Baity, Kentucky’s star cornerback, has been cleared to play against Eastern Michigan. Baity’s status was in question after he sat out the second half of the Florida game with a head injury.

Baity has 15 tackles, one interception and one fumble recovery so far this season. He played his best game in the win at South Carolina, which earned him SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Go Cats.

That’s what I was going to ask! Where is Jordan Jones and how bad is this “shoulder bruise” ? The topic of our star defensive players injury has been unusually quiet.

I’m glad to get Baity back. He’s a very good player.

Jones is being held out until the bye week if at all possible.
