Kentucky’s Denzil Ware couldn’t ask for a better start to his junior season. The edge rusher was named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week after an exceptional performance at Southern Miss.
The Kentucky defense put the team on its back to get a victory on the road in Hattiesburg. Denzil Ware arguably carried the heaviest load. He finished the game with two tackles, a tackle for loss, a sack, a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and a touchdown. The 20-yard scoop-and-score proved to be the game-winning touchdown for the Wildcats.

One of Kentucky’s “Blitz Bros,” Ware not only has an early advantage over Josh Allen in their sack competition, he has some hardware from the SEC to show off too.
