DeMarco Robinson arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest

DeMarco Robinson is doing all he can to give up his starting spot on the Kentucky football team. The junior wide receiver was suspended indefinitely prior to the Georgia game last season and he’ll face a new punishment soon, thanks to new trouble. Robinson was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, first reported by Jen Smith and confirmed by UK.

Mark Stoops has been out recruiting his tail off since the dead period ended yesterday, so he will handle the Robinson situation whenever he returns to Lexington. It’s the last thing he needs to be dealing with right now and I can’t imagine it ending well for Robinson’s future at Kentucky. If I were him, I’d go ahead and start packing those bags.

Sad, I did my fair share of partying in college, but managed to never get arrested. Typically you have to look for trouble to find it. Disappointing

Funny, even the black coach suspended him. Sounds like trouble follows Mr Robinson. People like you that make excuses for him do not help matters.

    1) Echo Sin The’s request
    2) Great pity, very sorry that this young man has run off the rails, hope he gets back on track quickly, but not at UK
    3) Lastly, can anyone give him Clint Hurtt’s number, possibly Petrino would be interested.

What’s up with athletes acting up? They’ve got everything in the world, why put it to risk? Is it a peer pressure thing, wanting to seem cool with your crew or whatever? Even coming from a rough upbringing or something you’re being given a chance to make a better life for yourself. How hard is it to stay out of trouble? Come on man…

Did we play him in a critical game AND THEN suspend him? No, we suspended him and haven’t played him. We can’t make players be good, but we can, and do apparently, make them NOT-Players when they are bad. Unlike certain other state-funded universities.

No I believe you. My neighbor’s cousin is the receptionist at the Bryan Station Inn. This guy wouldn’t just lie about it; he bleeds blue. He said he saw Dakari pull up in a Mazda 3 with a girl holding a rifle and escorted her into the room. He was then on his cell phone, and another car pulled up and some guy walked in the room. DAKARI IS AN ACTUAL PIMP WITH A STABLE!!

I’m a huge UK football fan and I for one hope we keep Demarco Robinson! He’s a legitimate SEC WR and provides some returning production. The dude is a weapon. Gotta keep him. Let him slide on this one Stoops and put him on a zero tolerance probation! IF we have another losing season next year I’m gonna lose it. Sick and tired of losing to WKU, UL, UT, UGA, Vandy, Mizzou, and USC. This guy can help us win.

It takes very, very little to be charged with resisting arrest as a black man in the South. Act “uppity” at all and you’ll get tazed, taken down and a knee on the back of your neck. Statistics on arrest rates, conviction rates, and given maximum sentence rates don’t lie.

You can only get in trouble if you put yourself in that situation. If there is no reason for police to be there they wont be there. They don’t just come out of nowhere and start arresting people.

Im a white male and 2 years ago I was standing watching my buddy get into a bar fight. I had zero part of it but was arrested, charged with alcohol intoxication (I was sober & never given a breathalyzer), and put in jail for 12 hours. Furthermore, when I asked to make a phone call at 4 am an officer at the jail smacked me in the face. I swear it felt like I was in a foreign country. From that day forward I wait to hear all the facts before I make judgement on somebody regarding an arrest.
