Big Blue Nation turned out in force for Saturday night’s game against the Florida Gators. The players gave it their all and in fact should have won the football game. Unfortunately they instead experienced a heartbreaking 28-27 loss, so the streak continues against the Gators. The loss still hurts but let KSR photographer Dr. Michael Huang cheer you up with some great game photos.
Saturday saw a special tailgate scene and a sell out crowd at Kroger Field.
Kentucky took a 24-14 lead in the third quarter thanks in large part to the play of quarterback Stephen Johnson. At that time he was 13-of-17 for 165 yards and had three touchdowns. Johnson finished the game 17-25 for 196 yards.
One of those Johnson touchdowns was to senior wide receiver Blake Bone.
And to tight end C.J. Conrad. That’s now 3 touchdowns on the season from Johnson to Conrad.
What a game for Charles Walker, whether it was his 52-yard punt return that led to a touchdown for Juice Johnson or his difficult catch under a minute to give his team a chance at the win.
But, this might sum up how we all feel after that game.
You’re allowed to be mad and frustrated. Yes this loss will sting for a long time but stick with these boys. Plenty of football left for a great season. Go Cats!
