Country duo Aly’An to play Saturday’s pregame concert

Saturday’s going to be an exciting day around Kroger Field. Not only is KSR super-sizing our pregame coverage (noon to kick off), UK is doing its best to make sure the atmosphere around the stadium is great as well. This morning, they announced that country duo Aly-An will perform the pregame concert on the stage in the plaza outside Gate 12 following the Cat Walk, which starts at approximately 5:15 p.m. Bradford BBQ and Mad Mike’s food trucks will be parked next to the concert stage as well.

What is Aly’An? A female country duo comprised of Alyson Burke and Andrea Gross, two Burgin, Kentucky natives that joined forces after competing against each other in local singing competitions for years. Described by the Nashville Music Guide as having “harmonies that blend so well you’d swear they were sisters,” Aly’An has already shared the stage with the likes of John Michael Montgomery, Ben Sollee and Florida Georgia Line. Ryan Lemond is already a fan.

Here’s a sampling of their work:

No offense to these gifted ladies, but where tf is wacka flocka at!! Pull out all the strings for this one… Grove street party should be heard inside the locker room and through the stadium.

Who Cares? Country music is not what is needed during Tailgates. It gets no one hype at all. If anything, this makes me want to avoid the tailgating location all together. What are we going to do for an encore at the UL game? Get old crow medicine show?

Also Thanks for deleting my previous comment. Classic KSR to moderate peoples speech, especially when it wasn’t offensive language. Because I said Who Cares, you deleted that. What next? You’re not going to be able to artificially manufacture public opinion anymore like all the rest of the liberal media.

You aren’t the recruits we are looking to land! I could care less what you like to be honest, but the recruits that are going to want to take a visit to an incredible environment, having someone like that (someone who appeals to them) would be a huge plus! In general, im just saying capitalize on this huge moment and get a win on top of it and that is what will flip big time commits to want to be apart of something that is new and something they associate with a winning culture.

Their sound isn’t too bad, actually, but that’s the dumbest name I’ve heard in a decade. Way too much trying to be clever.

Their sound is good enough. Just need to find that perfect song.

I guess all the redneck dive bars were already booked this weekend.

Such a huge game. What a shame. I hope they rock it out.

Meanwhile, 72 miles west of Kroger field, the largest blues festival, covering three days, with the biggest names in the business, will be going on. Too bad we could not get one of them to play a couple hours on Saturday.
