Coaches Poll: Kentucky Receives Zero Votes

After suffering an ugly 28-13 loss in Starkville last night, the nation’s coaches gave Kentucky no love in the polls.  The Top 6 of Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, LSU, and Ohio State all remained unchanged and Wisconsin made the leap into the Top 10 after their big win against Michigan.  With the win last night, Mississippi State received 34 votes putting them at 32nd in the country.  After Arizona State dropped out of the rankings, the only matchup in Week 5 featuring two Top 25 teams will be #10 Notre Dame vs. #18 Virginia in South Bend.

Why would they??? Why would they give us a single vote? KSR writers either have the shortest memory in a history of blogging or they don’t watch the actual games? Anyone who’d give this team a vote for any top anything needs to have their voting privileges suspended indefinitely.

They write about anything to get eyeballs. It’s all about money. Seldom to disseminate real information.

As long as the also rans in the ACC, B11+G, and Back12 are being propped up this should be expected.

We gave away 2 games in 2 weeks where we had them schemed properly and had better personnel, we just need to get better. Same growing pains as Cal deals with, but magnified. 5 versus 11 at a time on any given play.

Hopefully it the put together a complete game soon and then consistently

And as long as KSR writers don’t vote in the AP Poll we won’t get any there either. For the first week though I must say we got exactly as many votes as we deserve.

what’s comical is that some expert fans thought losing an 11-3 starting quarterback wouldn’t make the wheels fall off.

Or the defense is totally ineffective, requiring our offense to have to score 35+ points just to have a chance at winning.

Very few games left where that may be a possibility.

you know what happens when your offense breaks down? Defense stays on the field a lot more and tires out pretty quickly.

When your offense is giving up points, you shouldn’t fault the defense. Defense put them in position to win. Offense squandered it early and often. We’re better than this but not playing like it.

And they shouldn’t. I hope everyone realizes this is a rebuilding season and it has been further hindered with the loss of Wilson.

It’ll take about 4 wins in a row starting with SC to start getting any respect
