Chris Westry named SEC Freshman of the Week

The Southeastern Conference named Chris Westry its Freshman of the Week for Week 2 of the college football season.

Westry made the game-saving interception, as well as several other impactful plays in Kentucky’s win over South Carolina.

Today, Mark Stoops said of his freshman cornerback, “He’s doing some really good things. Handled himself against a really quality wide receiver. I thought he grew up a lot and did some really good things in the game.”

More from Stoops in a moment…
