Kentucky came out flat early in the game and gave up 13 unanswered points to Austin Peay, a team that has no business going up 13-0 on anyone. It was clear Mark Stoops’ players had overlooked the visiting Governors, but they buckled down and turned it on after falling down two scores.
It was all Cats from there as the ground game cruised through Peay defenders for almost 300 yards and five scores on the ground. Austin Peay never scored again, losing the game, 49-13.
With the win, Kentucky officially clinched bowl eligibility.
