The Associated Press named UK defensive lineman C.J. Johnson to its All-SEC second team today. He is the only Wildcat to be named to any of the SEC postseason teams this year.
Johnson ranked third on Kentucky’s defense with 67 tackles, and had two of the biggest plays of the season with his 77-yard fumble return touchdown against Tennessee and his acrobatic interception versus Charlotte. He also recorded two sacks, a forced fumble and a blocked kick.
Off the field, the senior JUCO transfer was one of the best personalities on the team with his overly candidate interviews during his two seasons at Kentucky. His “I poop a lot” comment to Alan Cutler at his first media day was so good it made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
