Tight end C.J. Conrad, one of the brightest stars of spring football, has a minor setback entering his freshman season at Kentucky. Mark Stoops said on KSR that Conrad will travel to Philadelphia today to see a sports hernia specialist for a groin injury. He will be evaluated this afternoon and will likely undergo surgery on his tomorrow.
While the surgery will impact Conrad’s mobility during summer workouts, Mark Stoops expects him to be back to 100 percent and ready to go for fall camp.
