Tensions are rising during the dog days of preseason football camps across the country, causing fights at all levels of play. The Cowboys and Rams’ recent brawl has drawn the most attention, but a conflict in Pittsburgh has sidelined one of the Big Blue’s brightest stars.
Bud Dupree was in not just one, but two tussles during practice with offensive guard Ramon Foster, according to Gerry Dulac of Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. After the two were separated, Bud was escorted off the field by Lawrence Timmons under the orders of Mike Tomlin.
I can understand Bud’s frustration. After a so-so preseason debut, his performance has declined and he’s been a beacon of criticism from many Steeler’s fans.
I am all for fights in practice, but I believe he could have used the additional reps. What do YOU think?
