Braylon Heard twisted his ankle, no word on return

Two of UK’s most impressive touchdowns came from Braylon Heard this afternoon. Heard had only two carries, but he made them count for fourteen points on runs of 73 and 43 yards a piece.

Unfortunately, Heard twisted his ankle on the second run, and had to sit out the rest of the game. Stoops didn’t have an update on the severity of his injury, but said Braylon’s two runs showed off what he can do. “He made a great move on that second one,” Stoops said. “What you saw on those two runs is what we’ve been talking about.”

Neal Brown agreed, joking that Heard “may never want to play. He has the highest per-rush in school history, in the nation, and he may just say, ‘I’m done.'”

Haha, very funny.

The injury is Bear Bryant or other Kentucky demons pushing back on the team’s success. Wildcats can never catch a break, avoid freak injuries, things from happening…

My best wishes for Braylon, but it’s clear this team’s depth at RB can absorb the loss with ease. I’m now optimistic about this team’s chances at making a bowl.

UTM got well over 200 yds. rushing. Not well played on defense despite the turnovers.

Poor quarterback pressure, pushed around by a small offensive line and the great defensive ends did squat today. Where is Bud and Z ? AWOL IT SEEMS!

Well the Cats got another game to improve on the shortcomings of this one before SEC play. Lets hope it is enough to take the Gators down.

A feel good win over a really overmatched team. Cats should have won by 60 points but the defense needs work badly. Offense looks good but the O line could have been better..

Anyone know about Fred Tller? Did he go back in the game after getting shook up?

Regardless of who they played, this UK team came out with a vengence, and the scoring drives will be a HUGE confidence builder, which is half the battle. SO PROUD OF THESE GUYS!!!

What a great day for the players, especially Braylon. Hope he’s okay!!!
