Boom Williams not listed on this week’s depth chart

Screen Shot 2015-11-02 at 10.54.38 AM

It looks like Kentucky will be without Boom Williams when it travels to Athens next weekend. Williams suffered a dislocated elbow in the second quarter against Tennessee and he will likely be out for a long time. We should get an update from Mark Stoops on Williams’ status during today’s press conference. Mikel Horton will start in his place.

Kentucky will also start two freshmen at cornerback, assuming Derrick Baity’s spot opposite Chris Westry holds up throughout the week. Redshirt freshman Mike Edwards has taken over at safety for veteran A.J. Stamps.

It is not good folks. I know the doctors that took a look at it over the weekend. Telling me it was a nasty nasty injury. He will be lucky if he can bend his arm normally after recovery. It will definitely affect his weight training even years down the road. His UK career is sadly probably cut short. Lets just pray for this kids future and that he can still make it into the draft down the line.

You guys have some serious issues. You’d be surprised how much info doctors share about specific cases. No “spilling the beans” necessary. But y’all probably wouldn’t understand doctor life seeing as you serve up my fries at Wendy’s for lunch.

Doctors may share information with other doctors, but they definitely shouldn’t be sharing someone’s private medical information with the public without consent. That is a HIPPA violation.

I work in a law office doofus. What doctor’s office do you work for “Dr. Dan”???? I’m sure they’d be very interested in your HIPAA violations. If you truly are a doctor, which I seriously doubt, you should lose your license to practice medicine.

In defense of Dr. Dan, I knew one of the doctors that treated Tim Tebow when he was at UK for the concussion he received at the game years ago. The doctor told me it was much much worse than the University of Florida was telling the media. So doctors do talk, whether they are supposed to or not.

Another one of Jokers boys still trying to lead team along with left tackle, more help is on the way with 11 freshmen or RS freshmen and sophs offensive linemen. And did I mention Rivals Ranking of 17Th in nation? Time, time, time soon it will be Barkers team with Jr and Sr recivers!!! Go freshmen defense backs beat Georgia!!! Horton manned up and was the true bright spot on offense for UK. He is a big physical back and that is what we need to ride this offense on. Towels has the worst field vision I ever seen and believe he needs contacts. Receivers need to use stickem on their hands they drop everything. Afraid this team is just wanting the season over at this point. 5-7 here we come.

Looking at Elam, I would think he would be a better fit on the OL than the defensive line. Just put him in front of the QB – his lack of mobility would seem to be a lesser concern on the OL than on the defensive line. I’m far from a football guru, so take that for what it’s worth.

I’ve wondered why they don’t bring him in on short yardage situations.

He has the size and strength to play nose tackle, but he does not have the technique. He would really benefit from a red shirt year next year.

  16. Poppschmidty

I know King is a freshman and that we need to give him time to adjust, but he is terrible (at this moment) on kick returns. Tennessee was kicking at him all game and that really put our backs to the wall every damn drive. Given the fact that our offense can’t seem to move the ball how about we put some play makers in on returns; it used to work.

Good to see Quinn moving down the depth chart. He has been a liability in the secondary since he got to UK. Hopefully we will stick with the younger guys and take the hits for them to learn, can’t be worse than what Quinn has given us the past few years.

Towles needs to be benched. He lacks technique (i.e. happy feet) and he has not progressed with his reads. He’s often complacent and that leads to sacks or poor throws.

The receivers cannot catch, either from bad passes coming from Towles or just bad hands.

D-line is horrible, the injury to the star on that line has proven to be big. UK Does not have a pass rush with 4 people coming. UK has to blitz

O-Line is doing an okay job with the run, well a pretty good job. Pass protection is 6/10.

    Ryan Timmons is awful.

Listen, Joker Philips put UK back 5-7 years with all those horrid recruiting classes. We are getting hte players just not enough to have good backup players.

TN, GA, FL, Miss St, etc, they still just have better athletes.
