Boom and JoJo named fourth best duo in SEC (Take that, Alabama)

jojo-boom

The SEC Network’s Matt Stinchcomb ranked the running back duos of the Southeastern Conference and Kentucky’s ranked fourth with the one-two backfield punch of Boom Williams and JoJo Kemp.

Only Tennessee, Georgia and LSU have better duos than the Wildcats, according to Stinchcomb.

“They don’t run the ball much at Kentucky, but when you look at these two guys… JoJo Kemp, he’s been kind of a Wildcat formation specialist, but boy has he come through in the clutch. Stanley ‘Boom’ Williams, he’s their home run hitter. He’s a guy that can take it to the house at any point in time.

When you look at what they want to be offensively, it’s not going to be a run-focused offense. But these two guys, they can be big impact players for them offensively this year.”

And behind Kentucky at No. 5?

Alabama with the freakishly big and athletic Bo Scarbrough and Richmond, Kentucky’s own Damien Harris.

If only Damien Harris had come here… we’d have the third best instead of 4th!

Does Alabama really need any bulletin board material for when we play them?

I really would like to believe it, and both have had their injury issues.

If they stay healthy, they might keep things balanced on offense. I would personally like to see Horton as the go-to based on his size alone. Let our other 2 share a spot and grab a toss from Barker in the open field.

Bama usually has zero problems running the ball, and they could easily be the best in the bunch come January.
