Benny Snell sees UK’s preseason ranking, disagrees, lights rankings on fire

Benny Snell got his hand on a copy of USA Today’s College Football Preview and it’s pretty safe to say he didn’t see eye to eye with whoever contributed to its preseason rankings.

Once Snell saw his Kentucky Wildcats ranked No. 71, he dropped the paper to the pavement and lit it on fire, while recording it all on SnapChat.

And because nothing is safe on SnapChat, a UK fan page recorded a video of the video on Instagram for it to last forever.

See for yourself:

@iambennysnelljr, is not letting us be ranked 71st in the nation! #BBN

Love it. That’s the attitude Kentucky football needs and has lacked over the years.

7 wins in a tough conference. Played bama better than anybody not named Clemson. Beat the Heisman winner on his field. All with a “backup” quarterback. And we got better at almost every position in the offseason. 71 really is way too high. But what do I know?

71 is probably about right until we prove otherwise on-the-field…

Ranked almost in top 40 at end of last season though??? How did 30 teams advance ahead?

Most publications have UK in the top 50. Street and Smith has us at 45th. Ahead of about half of the power 5. 71st is ridiculous for a team that went 7-5 last season and returns a lot of talent and has a top 25 class.

In all seriousness though, I would argue that if they had won the bowl game they would be in the top 25 or right outside of it…so in my opinion 71st is ridiculous.

Well I’ll be damaged, if mr snell didn’t pull out his cigarette lighter right there, and light that paper on fire in front of everyone.
