Benny Snell goes all out for tattoo pun

Benny Snell took the world of Kentucky Wildcats football by storm last season with his breakout freshman year. Snell racked up 1,091 yards on 186 carries and scored 13 touchdowns as one of the best true freshmen in the Southeastern Conference.

Snell’s last name lends itself to a ton of word play, and he has even joined in with his Twitter display name being “MrSnell ya later” for months now. On top of that, Snell tweeted the below picture today of his new tattoo joining in on the pun fun.

With a tattoo of that size in that location, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Benny go to the Ezekiel Elliott jersey style to show it off next season.

What would your thoughts be if Benny went with the Zeke look?

If Benny played like Zeke Elliot next year, he could dye his hair neon pink and green and quack like a duck in every interview and I still wouldn’t mind

Congrats to Benny. I’m a big fan and of course it’s his body, etc.

    Do you! Always.

Having said that…not a tattoo guy myself.

So can somebody tell me why you wouldn’t just get the outline of the letters done, or just get them filled in (sorry for not knowing the correct inking term here)… instead of going with the “negative” look?

That’s an unfortunate tattoo. Want Benny to do Benny but I would keep the shirt down. Could have waited a few years for that NFL paycheck to splurge on a nice tat.

I don’t think any amount of money could improve that thing. That idea was doomed from the start. At least just get the letters (like Tupac). Dude went blacked out shade around the letters.

I like tattoos but that one is not very good. I wish these kids would wait until they get some money to get decent tattoos.

Oh so it takes some money to get a decent tattoo. That explains the whole tat thing.

He is now permanently incentivized to stay in shape. If he “grows” to lock like the avg American male, then that phrase will get harder and harder to read at it stretches around his middle aged rotundness.
