A month ago, offshore sportsbook 5dimes.com released odds for the upcoming football season and predicted the Cats being bowl eligible with 6 wins. Now some off the mainland sites are beginning to trickle out as well as CG Technology released their odds last night.
Their verdict? 5.5 wins for the Cats…. In other words, the Cats could be playing the Cards for the second straight season with a trip to a bowl game on the line. Bring on November.
Here are the win totals for the rest of the SEC:
- Alabama: 9.5 (over -135)
- Arkansas: 8 (under -140)
- Auburn: 8.5 (over -130)
- Florida: 7 (over -130)
- Georgia: 9 (over -125)
- Kentucky: 5.5 (over -130)
- LSU: 8.5 (over -130)
- Ole Miss: 8.5
- Mississippi State: 7 (under -145)
- Missouri: 7.5 (over -135)
- South Carolina: 6.5 (over -155)
- Texas A&M: 8 (under -120)
- Tennessee: 8 (under -160)
- Vanderbilt: 3.5 (under -135)
Besides the outliers of Georgia and Vanderbilt the race for second place in the SEC could be very close. CG Technolgy expects Tennessee, Missouri, Florida, South Carolina, and Kentucky to all be in the 6-8 win range.
This Friday Golden Nugget will be releasing point spreads on 165 games. I’ve got my life savings ready to bet on the Cats over the Cards. Football season can’t get here soon enough.
