A Glimpse Of The Future

Six touchdowns. One half. That’s all it took for Drew Barker and Conner to dismantle Boone County 40-7. Barker was impressive before the game was called due to extreme heat as he racked up nearly 400 yards. Barker got a strong start to his claim to Mr. Football with the big win. Watch him work in the video above and remember help is on the way.

I say start him next year or redshirt him so he gets 4 years to play in the offense. Don’t waste any years with this kid.

I wonder how much those “Air Raid” promos cost? Was that sound in the promos the collective groan from UK fans instead of an actual siren? I think I need to listen again.

D in white is about as good as UK’s.

We have an excellent QB now – Matt Smith – and he proved it last nite. Stoops made the mistake of listening to Matt Jones crowing about Whilow and it cost us the game. Just because Smith isn’t black doesn’t mean he can’t win, Mr Jones, you racist.

This is the same website that was promoting Patrick Towles as our savior two years ago. That hasn’t quite taken shape yet. Kentucky high school football outside of Trinity is a joke.

It would have been nice to beat WKU but it really doesn’t matter when thr entire program and fanbase understand that this season was going to be tough one to swallow. Like playing NCAA on All-American for the first time and expecting to win with a sub par UK team.

Our goal is to use high quality performance training to get him to 275 his first year. That added depth wi be used on the defensive line. After the other QBs leave we’ll trim him down for QB duties.

Patrick Towles had 7 in one half vs. Pendleton County in 2011…now’s he’s 3rd string..

#15= Truth. Let me see the kid in college before anointing him “savior.” I’m still waiting on Towles to be God’s gift to UK football.

It’ll be tough to remember after all the inevitable beatdowns, but this year means very little towards the rebuilding effort. Here’s what matters at the moment:

Barker is too good to play. We had one of these guys in ’11 and ’12 and ’13. I say we sit him on the bench next to Smith and Towles and Hartline.

Oh hell well start Whitlow over Barker “because he gives us the best chance to win” We
see how that worked out last night.
