We’re only a few days away from kickoff, but there are still tickets to be had for Saturday’s showdown with Southern Miss. According to a UK spokesman, as of this afternoon, 48,900 tickets have been distributed for Saturday night’s game, which is well below Commonwealth Stadium’s capacity of approximately 61,000.

A quick search of Ticketmaster shows available seats in the usual spots in the upper deck and corners:

Last year, UK sold out four games: the opener vs. Louisiana-Lafayette, Florida, Eastern Kentucky, and Auburn. The average attendance was 61,295, a 6.5% jump over the previous season despite reduced capacity due to the renovations.

The weather is supposed to be absolutely gorgeous on Saturday, so if you haven’t already, head on over to Ticketmaster.com to secure your spot for the season opener.

Alternately, subscribe on iTunes, Google Play, or any of about a million “podcatcher” apps and they can be downloaded from there

Thats the bad part. If I try to get to the page to listen to it, my web filter here at work blocks it because of streaming audio, but the way you guys usually embed it into the post on the page, it will allow me to stream it then. LOL

Do they take the shackles off when you get your weekly bathroom break?? Jeez.

How about on your phone? You can download episodes for not a lot of data (or via wifi at work or home) and listen offline

Perfect!!! Thank you Tyler. You are awesome! And to answer the question about my phone, I’m in a section in the middle of the building with no windows and terrible cell reception so very spotty getting to listen.

Thank You Again. Its terrible being in Wisconsin and not getting to listen to the show.

61,000 capacity? Wasn’t that before the recent stadium improvements reduced the number of available seats?

I scored 2 tickets $25 each through the UK Athletics text alerts a week ago. Cheapest on Ticketmaster at the time was $50 each.

Right on cue… the slowly dissolving fanbase is losing confidence in Mitch Barnhart.

Stoops has this season to get the boat on track.
