Earlier this week, we heard that 4,000 tickets remained for Saturday’s opener against Louisiana Lafayette. Ready for an update? Mitch Barnhart just said that as of today, 2,000 tickets remain, putting the total sold at approximately 59,000.

“We’re close,” Barnhart said. “We need some people to jump in.”

So jump in, people. Click here to go to Ticketmaster and join the opening day party. Use the promo code ALLIN for $25 seats.

Look folks, you either have a funeral to go to, or a UK football game to go to.

Anything but a sellout would be embarrassing.

      Yeah not really but whatever.

With the hype surrounding the team, concerts, and new stadium seats should sell easily. Embarrassing may be the wrong word but it should sellout.

It would be nice to sell out, but I did disagree with the word embarrassing. I think with it being a holiday weekend, one of the last weekends to enjoy the lake, and it being ULL we are playing, people might skip out on this one and show up for the next home game against UF.

Maybe the quality of the opponent has something to do with it

There’s a good chance the UT game won’t sell out and it has nothing to do with the quality of opponent. A fair amount of our fan base doesn’t care until they start to see us winning. That’s their choice, but the season ticket holders that have stuck it out are all going to have the prime seats, parking spaces, and Kfund points accrued for bowl game tickets and possibly tickets to Atlanta one year.

Maybe the fact that the stadium is not going to be done has something to do with it.

LOL the quality of opponent .ULL has had 4 straight 9 win seasons and won 4 straight bowl games.

yeah you’re right, they have a lock on that New Orleans bowl in their own state. And the Sun Belt conference is known as a powerhouse. So whoever said we don’t have a great quality of opponent is silly.

You should ask Tommy The Turtleneck Jurich to downsize the Yum then. You rarely sell it out, and it just might help keep some of the thousands of UK fans out of it. 😉

Taking away 6000 seats CLEARLY wasn’t enough. Should have taken 16,000 away. Agree with the very first POST . . . no other word but E-M-B-A-R-R-A-S-S-I-N-G!

    And when Coach leaves, don’t ever ask why . . . .
