Your Pre-NCAA Tournament NBA Mock Draft

SEC-8444

I’m sure the June NBA Draft is the last thing on your mind, but Jonathan Givony made some moves in this week’s new Mock Draft that are pretty intriguing (and I’m not talking about his site redesign).

De’Aaron Fox is now a Top Five pick, slotted at No. 5 to the Orlando Magic.  The third-ranked point guard in the draft behind Lonzo Ball and Markelle Fultz, Fox has found his jump shot at the end of the season, scoring 18 points or more in the final four games.

Malik Monk is still considered a Top Ten selection.  Monk’s status will be a wild card leading into the draft, regardless of how he finishes his freshman season.  Givony currently has him going eighth to the place where former Cats go to die, Sacramento.

Bam Adebayo is back in the first round, slated at No. 27 to the Portland TrailBlazers.  Adebayo flirted with the lottery until his stock fell sharply in the middle of the season, dropping all the way out of Chad Ford’s mock draft.  Bam’s progression throughout the season has him looking more and more like the lottery pick we believed he was when he arrived at Kentucky.

Please please don’t let Monk end up going to the Kings! I’d love to see him join with Towns in MINNY.

Bam never would, but it would be awesome if he came back. He needs another year to develop.

Yeah just so you could bash Bam another year. Or any UK player. Or coach. Or fan.
