Your 1 p.m. Mock Draft Roundup: Beware of trades…

We’ve got six hours until the draft, and the closer we get, the more apparent it becomes that anything can happen. Ever since the Knicks made it known that they’re open to trading Kristaps Porzingis, rumors have flown about potential trades, making tonight’s draft one of the toughest to predict in recent memory. Regardless, prognosticators gotta prognosticate, so here’s a roundup of the latest mock drafts as of 1 p.m. ET:

De’Aaron Fox Malik Monk Bam Adebayo
Draft Express 5. Sacramento 8. New York 18. Indiana 5. Sacramento 10. Sacramento 17. Milwaukee
Chad Ford Mock Draft 8.0 4. Phoenix 11. Charlotte 17. Milwaukee
CBS Sports’ Gary Parrish 5. Sacramento 10. Sacramento 25. Orlando
NBC Sports’ Rob Dauster 5. Sacramento 8. New York 24. Utah
Sports Illustrated 5. Sacramento 8. New York 19. Atlanta 5. Sacramento 6. Orlando 17. Milwaukee

Consensus is forming around De’Aaron Fox and Sacramento with the fifth pick, with Chad Ford as the lone pundit predicting Phoenix will take him at number four. According to Ford, Suns owner Robert Sarver is very high on Fox, but this morning, Adrian Wojnarowski said on The Dan Patrick Show that there’s no way the Suns will take Fox if Eric Bledsoe is still on the roster. Will Bledsoe still be on the roster in six hours?

Stay tuned…

It would be cool to see Fox and Monk both drafted to the kings

If Fox is still on the table, Phoenix will take him just because he will have the highest value of any player left. Maybe they keep Fox and trade Bledsoe. Maybe they keep Bledsoe and trade Fox. Either way, they end up with better value than they could get from picking anyone else.

Phoenix will never be a good team if they continue to trade their team every year and draft players with no real outlook on the future. Bledsoe was dominate for them last year, why trade a guy that put up huge numbers and actually showed some leadership and cemented his role? Fox is great and im not complaining, but this mindset of rebuilding every year, isnt rebuilding, its disastrous! There is no real chemistry if you’re always switching up the roster. Didn’t Bledsoe have a triple double or two if I remember correctly? With the number 4 pick, id go after Josh Jackson and keep my core of guards in Ullis, Booker and Bledsoe and try and start making a difference this year.

Josh Jackson won’t be there after top 3. I’d go Jayson Tatum at 4

Eric Bledsoe doesn’t fit the suns timeline, they draft fox and have a legitimate point guard for the future then they trade Bledsoe for some picks or other values, then they would have: Fox, Booker, Chriss, Warren, and Bender to build around while still having Chandler, Dudley, and Barbosa for veteran leadership

PHX trades Bledsoe, Chriss, and next year’s 1st Round pick for Porzingod, drafts Fox at #4. You’d have a big 3 of Fox, Booker, and KP that would make the Suns a legitimately solid team.

Then that’s like all that they would really have and they would still miss the playoffs by a long shot
