Yes, there is already Bracketology

College basketball doesn’t officially start until Friday, but ESPN’s Joe Lunardi is already on his SECOND Bracketology of the preseason. In these ridiculously early projections, Lunardi has Kentucky as the #1 seed in the South Region, which also includes #2 Duke, #3 Wichita State, our old friends from West Virginia, and UCLA:

The South Regional is in Louisville, which is good news for Kentucky fans if this bracket turns out to be similar to the real one that comes out in four months.
Not to be outdone, USA Today’s Scott Gleeson and Shelby Mast also released a preseason bracketology which features a nice picture of Tyler Ulis:

Interestingly, they have Louisville as a 4-seed, while Lunardi projects the Cards to only be a 10-seed —
Ah, screw it. It’s November 11th for crying out loud.

How is Louisville not a #1 seed? This year’s Cards team is the single greatest assembly of talent that Pitino has ever seen in any sport during the course of his lifetime.
Why does ANYBODY listen or believe Lunardi??? He can guess which 68 teams are in the tourney….and does pretty good…..so do I. But his matchups are NEVER right.
