WKU Beat EKU on a Last Second Shot

Austin Anthony | BG Daily News
The battle between the state’s preeminent directional schools was a nail-biter in Diddle Arena. The rivals hadn’t played one another since Courtney Lee was balling for WKU back in 2007. The matchup lived up to the hype.
On the brink of beating the Tops for the first time since 1987, Eastern needed one stop to pull off the one-point victory. The defense was exceptional, forcing a loose ball, but it would end in disaster for the Colonels. WKU’s Justin Johnson had never hit a 3-pointer in his career, until he picked up the loose ball and hit a fade-away with 1.9 seconds on the clock.
