Kentucky Sports Radio

University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Will he announce anything tonight?

The deadline for Hamidou Diallo to pull his name from the NBA draft pool and return to Kentucky is only 40 minutes away. Fans are still anxiously refreshing the internet for an announcement, but there’s one thing you should keep in mind: Diallo doesn’t have to announce anything tonight. He should, and it will be cold-blooded if he doesn’t, but nothing says Diallo has to tell us anything. His only obligation is to inform the NCAA, the NBA and the University of Kentucky if he plans to pull his name from the draft and return to school. If he is keeping his name in the draft, he doesn’t have to say anything at all; although, again, that would be pretty cruel to the fan base.

So as we continue losing our minds and staying up past our bedtimes these next 40 minutes, just know that there may not be an answer when the clock strikes midnight. We hope there will be answer, and there should be an answer, but it’s all up to Diallo. Nothing requires him to tell the public anything.

Now back to waiting and refreshing. I have my finger on the KSR app alert and I don’t care who it wakes up if the news breaks tonight.

I think it’s safe to say if we don’t hear anything by midnight that means he’s gone. (Honestly that we haven’t heard anything yet means he’s probably gone)

    Good luck to him.

At this point Hami is trolling that small, toxic, whining portion of BBN and I for one commend him for it. This kid doesn’t owe anything to anyone.

      Yet you’re still up, too.

So, the kid gets a free scholarship for a semester and gets to use Cal and the UK brand to boost his draft stock, and yet he doesn’t owe anybody anything? That must be nice. At this point, I don’t care what his decision is, but it’s very disrespectful not to announce when you know a decision has been made and a lot of people are willing to stay up late to support this kid.

Yeah old man. Not everyone works day shift. Mind Blown!!!! The toxic portion of BBN get their panties in a wad when they are exposed for harassing teenage kids.

Adults troll a kid for months about HIS decision for financial security and then get their sensitive panties in a wad when he doesn’t succumb to their fandom demands

I don’t think anyone would blame him for HIS decision to go pro and make money. Good for him and I hope for a long career for him. What the bigger issue is, which you’ve missed completely, is that why build it up so much to act like you’re staying just to not say a word. Little thing call courtesy and manners not “fandom demands”

Oh you know a family member and the reason why he’s gone is bc of the ‘none and done’?… highly doubtful.

Either way, this is not a good way to win over BBN. With that said, I hope he returns. I am too old to be up this late refreshing KSR. Dou it to it Hami.

He was dubbed as comparable to Archie Goodwin earlier, somewhere. Not really sure how to interpret that. LOL! If he goes I hope it works out for him.

He is transferring to Duke! I heard it from a coach here in Frankfort who knows a guy who sat by a woman who knows Hami’s coach’s wife’s hairdresser. She told her about it this afternoon about 3:30.
