Kentucky Sports Radio

University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Who dunked it better? Mychal Mulder or Freddie Maggard?

Today I am asking our readers to help me decide between two of the best high school dunks you will ever see in our first and only KSR High School Dunk Contest.

The first dunk comes from Mychal Mulder, current reserve for the Kentucky Wildcats. Mulder snuck back door to catch a lob and finish it with a twirling reverse. Mulder was an elite dunker at Catholic Central High School in Windsor.

The other comes from our own Freddie Maggard, star of the 1987 Cumberland Redskins. One witness of his two-handed pump slam in warm-ups against James A. Cawood High tells me it was the single most athletic thing they’ve ever seen. Another told me the gymnasium literally erupted, nearly causing KHSAA officials to cancel the game.

^^^ Blair Walsh must be in charge of making these video players. He kicks them out and Vontaze Burfict breaks them for no reason

I was at that game representing the Trojans of Cawood High (class of 87). If I recall correctly, the sports name for Cumberland High School was the Redskins not panthers.

That goal Freddie was playing on was only 8 foot tall, it had to be.
