When a Football School Beats Kentucky

They celebrate like they won a huge football game.  In case the loss hadn’t sank in just yet, a live look at Toomer’s Corner, the traditional place of celebration at Auburn University.

To all of the UK fans there to witness this firsthand, you have my sympathy.

Can someone check on DelrayCat’s wife/children/pets to make sure they are safe?

LOL…thanks, but all is good. I’m pretty objective. Let’s face it….this is not a very good Kentucky team and does not look to improve much going forward. They are what they are.
And at Arkansas will be MUCH tougher than at lowly Auburn. Right now Arkansas is looking much better than UK did in LSU and their team/fans will likely smell blood in the water as this struggling Cats team heads to Fayetteville. I am not at all optimistic about this UK team going forward.

DC, did you correctly predict the 2010, 2011 and 2014 seasons?

      Asking for a friend.

It is false equivalency. Every year is different. Admittedly, this team could come around and make a run. I just do not expect it. They just do not shoot it well enough as a team, and their deficiencies in the post will haunt them. Of course, great guard play could propel them in the tourney as this is always a key factor. But even the most optimistic UK fan could also see a real possibility of the Cats being a 4-7 seed and losing in the first round due to their obvious flaws.

Okay, I was just wondering, because you said in your comment prior “Let’s face it….this is not a very good Kentucky team and does not look to improve much going forward. They are what they are.”

      Are we struggling? Sure.

We could also be a lot like the 2011 UCONN team that lost 9 games, with bad losses to St. Johns, Marquette and others, was a 9-seed in the tournament, yet won the National Championship behind great guard play and a HOF coach. They only had three players drafted in the first round. (Skal, Murray, Briscoe?)

But hey, you have every right to be pessimistic.

This game for Auburn was like our win over South Carolina in football. We think we did great when we only be another bad team. This will be Auburns only shinning moment.

Your post is a shinning example of your education level.

      Shin on, you crazy diamond.

  3. Well, our fans once tore down the goal posts when we beat a Bama team that wound up 6-5.
