What they’re saying on Social Media: Kentucky’s win against Georgia Tech

Well, it’s nice to get a victory over a power five school as a tune up for really impactful games of the year coming up in the next two weeks! The last home game until the Red team rolls into town was a nice overall win for the Cats as they advance to 8-1 on the year. Let’s see what Twitter had to say throughout the game about what happened in Rupp on Saturday night.

This by far is always my favorite time in Rupp! As this was the first Saturday with no Kentucky football, that’s how you do it.
As Fans really piled into Rupp last night for the victory Drew was having a panic attack with the decision UK Athletics made for the game…

Unlike Drew, I enjoy the pom poms. A good fidget as the game goes by. I will never understand…
Like every game, the Cats get to show off their shoe game. Nick Richards by far was superior. Man, I wish this team loved Kyrie 4s and would just wear the Confettis. Man, I miss Keldon Johnson…
Shoes @iamnickrichards is wearing for today’s game. Good chance you will see them on TV ? pic.twitter.com/VtJXDQBJUS

Lastly, for pregame, I took this photo of Nate videoing his guys warming up. Best hype man in college basketball! Excluding myself!
Nate is such a good teammate. pic.twitter.com/7vwWShSPuP

The infamous Rupp Arena ice cream guy
Now, take this as you will but not having a lot to say about what happened on the court for a game like this is actually a good sign. Kentucky took care of business. Also, what was going on around it was too entertaining to not mentioning it. Look, I do not know what was happening on ESPN because I was actually there but this would’ve been annoying me too.

Poor guy with ice cream in his beard
— Matt Jones (@KySportsRadio) December 14, 2019
If this team can at any point start making threes, they can be dangerous
And I still feel sorry for Ice Cream Beard

Now they are just picking on poor Ice Cream Beard

It is kind of awesome that Post Malone and Mitch McConnell came to the game today and sat together pic.twitter.com/fZer2PiOrI

I am a big fan of the UK vs. Georgia Tech/Man and bearded man eating Rupp Ice Cream double box.

Okay, now it's just mean. Someone give the man a napkin!

As Matt, Tyler, and Drew had their fights to pick on with ESPN, Ryan took on Jay Bilas all night…

Yeah that 1 mile trip that students regularly walk is just WAY TOO FAR AWAY for the crew to drive over there. Throwing the bull$%<# flag on that https://t.co/KRS4ekvvIm

This made me laugh…
Jay spent a minute explaining why they picked that kid… apparently the Joe Craft center is TOO FAR AWAY for their cameras to travel, lol

Ok, here’s my thing. I believe last year during the two College GameDay games, one of the weeks Bilas picked the opposing player to do the segment. Hey, I get it. No other teams get two GameDay sights in the same year. Only UK and Puke normally. I will give you that but you have no excuse…
By the way, Ryan if you’re reading this, I need a full synopsis tomorrow on KSR. I need to hear what he has to say live… Good thing I don’t have a class or a final tomorrow.
Since I got those out of the way, here are some actual tweets from the actual game…
One day I hope to be as good at anything as Bubba Parham is at shooting threes inside Rupp Arena.

Thoughts and Prayers to the UK -14.5 folks.
— Nick Roush (@RoushKSR) December 15, 2019
You know, I thought it was too high anyways…
Bubba Parham is a dude I would be glad to see graduate
Has to be a starter on the all-time random dude Rupp Arena team

Ok, this got me a good laugh during the game.
This has been a really strange game.
No real flow
Poor officiating
Testy Bilas
Ice Cream BeardHagans has been great though

This gets its own category but Louisville, come get your man… He seems lost…
This was not a trade from Louisville that I approved of https://t.co/in2ZTCacRK

Post-game
Ok, man I wish I was in that room for Cal’s press conference…
Calipari just interrupted his own press conference to talk with the UN Ambassador from London: "Can you deliver a message to the queen for me? Can you please let her know that I am her biggest fan?"
— Maggie Davis (@MaggieDavisKSR) December 15, 2019
John 'Savage' Calipari:
“I liked the three guards. It was nice to see Tyrese [Maxey] go 0-9. Or did he go 6-10? Oh wait, that was Brad. Brad went 6-10 for 20 points"
— Maggie Davis (@MaggieDavisKSR) December 15, 2019
Plus… is Cal running for office??? Here’s was his response
John Calipari on why he “can’t run for President” ? pic.twitter.com/hCLz8GG6DA
— Mohammad Ahmad (@Mohammad_KYK) December 15, 2019
So that’s about it from last night’s victory. By the way, can we get Cal and the Queen together this time next year for the London game? I need to see this…
Have a good night everyone! I hope everyone’s fantasy teams are doing well. I’ve just given up on football and put all my focus on Basketball! Road to the ‘chip!!! Go Cats!

Cringe post
I wish you all would quit whining about the 94′ segment. It’s not a big deal. You all realize it would take a couple hours to get over there, set up, get back to Rupp and set up again. I’m sure it’s just not worth it for a silly little segment that for some reason you all think is important.
