Kentucky may have opened as a 9-point favorite against Auburn, but the way this season has gone, you never know which Kentucky team will show up. Cats fans are going into the game with cautious optimism, but what about Tigers fans? Do they even realize it’s basketball season yet? To find out, I ventured over to an Auburn basketball message board (yes, they do exist!) to find out.
Here are some of their comments:
Poor Dewayne. He’s not wrong. Vanderbilt beat Auburn 75-57 in Nashville on Tuesday night. It was Auburn’s third straight loss, and the Tigers only shot only 32.8% from the field, 18.2% from three-point land.
Dewayne was so depressed he also asked this question:
“Repugh” didn’t have a very positive response:
Ouch. What happened to all that excitement when Pearl took the job? According to “rosebud,” Auburn has totally collapsed:
“KMKfan” is such a fan he took the blame upon himself for Auburn’s poor play:
(If you change a few words, this sounds exactly like something a UK Football fan would write.)
Auburn fans seemed to be so depressed about basketball that it’s only natural that the Tigers will shoot the lights out tomorrow, right?
Go Cats, anyway.
