Wenyen Gabriel was the surprising X-factor in last night’s game playing 29 minutes. In those 29 minutes Gabriel scored six points and grabbed 16 rebounds, the most in any SEC matchup by a player in the Calipari Era.

Gabriel opened up yesterday’s game with a three-pointer and his 29 minutes were the most he’s played all season. After the game, Calipari had nothing but praise for the freshman, in few little words.

“Woo,” Calipari said, “Wow.”

Not many people can leave Calipari speechless, but apparently 16 rebounds does the trick.

Each player is important on this roster. This kid & his motor… once they turn the corner… could be the Championship recipe.

This looks like the first major sign of the corner being revealed.

    0 – 4 at the FT line is unacceptable…

What else is he going to talk about? He can count to four,
      He can’t count to sixteen,
….not unless he takes off his shoes.

Hey Luether: Donovan Mitchell missed all of his FT’s vs Dook. And Adel missed every 3 he took.

      U mad?
