We (kind of) got a Jemarl Baker update at the Kentucky Father/Son Camp

Kentucky guard Jemarl Baker came to Lexington last offseason as a four-star sharpshooter, with some comparing him to former NBA superstar Ray Allen. Unfortunately for the Big Blue Nation, Baker missed his entire freshman season with a knee injury, and we never got to see his elite shooting in action.

During the NCAA Tournament, Baker told reporters that he was “feeling good,” but would only put himself at about 80 percent.

“I’m feeling pretty good,” Baker said. “My knee is good and now I’m just at the point where we’re trying to get the strength back to 100 percent — as strong as the right leg. I’m at probably about 80 percent right now. Just been shooting and working out, but I haven’t started practicing.”

This afternoon at the Kentucky Father/Son Camp, Baker updated his status without any words at all.

Not too shabby.

We got to see some more player/kid interactions at camp, including this coast-to-coast bucket from Keldon Johnson (who totally didn’t travel, mind you).

Elite defense by the kids, the but ball movement was just too impressive to stop.

Former Wildcat Marquis Estill even participated this weekend:

Top-notch coaching from the head man himself:

Kentucky Father/Son Camps continue for the next two weeks, and it’s not too late to sign up. If interested, head on over to  for the opportunity of a lifetime.

I don’t know about that ball movement, in reality they should have just backed that kid down and dunked on him! Just low basketball IQ right there!!!

If you don’t get that sarcasm you’re an idiot!
