On Saturday afternoon, the Kentucky Wildcats traveled into Fayetteville, AR and came away with one of their most hard-fought, gritty victories of the season.

And we have just thing to encapsulate just how awesome that win was.

In what has become one of our favorite traditions here at KSR, the Kentucky basketball video crew released the next episode in their “The Journey” series, which highlights the team’s previous victory and how it came to fruition.

This time around, we got to see the Razorback fans pack Bud Walton Arena, Kentucky finding (and losing) momentum in a hostile environment, John Calipari’s ejection, the Wildcats fighting back to pull off the victory, and the celebration that came afterward, among other highlights.

Check out the next episode in the series below:

Between the ejection highlights, Calipari’s locker room speech, and the dancing, I don’t know which part is my favorite.

What I do know, however, is that this series never gets old.

Let’s go for another this evening, shall we?

Watching the clips reinforces my impression that the players are really good kids who play with heart, determination, and have a strong desire to win. They also seem to be enjoying themselves, support each other, and have bonded together as a team. It’s also clear that the players listen to Cal and respect him as their coach. I have been critical of Cal’s in-game coaching and I stand by that criticism, but we must not lose sights of all the positives that he brings to the table. This team is not as talented as past squads and the margin for error is small, but I think that their heart and character will take them a long way. Go Cats!

You can see the love they have for our coach and why they came here to fight WITH him. Pretty cool. And he starts out exactly like he should….get off me and let me praise you guys that did your job and praise my staff that did their job. All around awesome. We have the best coach.
