The Kentucky Wildcats are well-equipped to enter enemy territory when they travel to Knoxville Saturday afternoon. Even though UK lost at Thompson-Boling last year, Immanuel Quickley is excited to return to Rocky Top.
“They’re a really good coached team. Rick Barnes has done a wonderful job there. It’ll be a good game for us,” he said Friday afternoon.
“Tennessee, I’m sure their fans will be there screaming and yelling. (It’s) one of my favorite places to play, honestly, since I’ve been here. I thought it was one of the loudest crowds, so it’s going to be really fun to play Tennessee.”
Even though he was not in Knoxville last season, Tyrese Maxey echoed a similar sentiment. There are just a few more things he must improve to make sure Coach Cal can pick up just his fourth win in Knoxville since he became the Wildcats’ head coach.
